Video content is likely already an essential component of your organization’s corporate marketing strategy — but it’s also an effective recruitment marketing tactic.

CareerBuilder survey found job postings with videos garnered 34% more applications. Additionally, 78% of talent marketing leaders said video improves the quality of applicants, and 85% said it provided the best ROI for the investment, per Stories Incorporated.

Whether you’re creating video content for the first time or need a strategy refresh, here are five innovative recruitment marketing videos from Talent Marketing Board members to inspire your efforts.

1. T. Rowe Price Highlights Women Returning to the Workforce

Returning to the workplace after a long career break is a challenge many job seekers — particularly women and mothers — are familiar with.

Talent Marketing Board Member T. Rowe Price highlighted this experience in a LinkedIn video showcasing a partnership with Path Forward, a national nonprofit dedicated to empowering parents and caregivers to restart their careers.

The video features employees Sophie Yazdai, Associate Vice President and Sales Consultant, and Mary-Helen Donovan, Vice President, and Regional Sales Director, as they share the unprecedented new options for working mothers. Sophie shared her own journey returning to the workforce and the pride she felt in entering her role.

Through the video, T. Rowe Price not only captures a memorable and inclusionary employee story but also highlights their culture and values around the role of women within the enterprise.

In just a week, the video garnered over 100 reactions and 22 reposts on LinkedIn.

2. Kohl’s Video to Attract New Members for the Distribution Team

While video content can help promote your company’s culture and values, it can also be an effective recruitment tool to attract candidates for a specific role.

Last year, Talent Marketing Board Member Kohl’s Department Stores published a video featuring Jaz, Distribution Center Supervisor, and why she loves #LifeAtKohls. The video drew attention to the open roles on the Seasonal Distribution team.

“What makes me proud to work here at Kohl’s is just that family feeling that you get,” she said.

The video not only captured a strong employee testimonial but also offered job seekers an inside look at the team they’d be joining and the workplace culture.

3. C.H. Robinson Celebrates Global Inclusion Week with Their Employees

You can’t understate the importance of fostering a culture of belonging in the workplace — employees at Talent Marketing Board Member C.H. Robinson shared what belonging means to them in an impactful company video.

To kick off their first annual Global Inclusion Week, C.H. Robinson launched a video titled “You Belong at C.H. Robinson,” and created the tagline #YouBelongatCHR in the process.

Employees around the globe shared their diverse backstories and the ways in which they have felt welcomed and accepted at the company.

Madhav, a team member in Mumbai, India, said, “This is what really enriches us. When we get so many different points of view from a wide spectrum of colleagues.”
Since the first video was published in 2021, C.H. Robinson has continued celebrating Global Inclusion Week and has released other videos showcasing their company culture using the #YouBelongatCHR tagline.

4. Kellogg Company Showcases Their Mosaic of Employees

Talent is arguably the most valuable asset of any enterprise, and Talent Marketing Board Member Kellogg Company showcased their team members from around the world.

Last year, Kellogg highlighted a few of their employees who submitted photos to be included in their #LifeAtK Mosaic displayed at headquarters.
Senior Manager of Supply Chain Arturo Rentería was the first employee highlighted in the video series. Arturo shared how Kellogg supports equity, diversity, and inclusion through business employee resource groups, and his favorite aspect of working at the company.

5. Allstate Celebrates Latinx Heritage Month

September 15 marked the start of Latinx Heritage Month, a month dedicated to celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

Talent Marketing Board Member Allstate took to LinkedIn to showcase how they’re celebrating.

Carla, the Corporate Brand Reputation Manager, sat down to share what the Professional Latinx Allstate Network (PLAN) Employee Resource Group has in store for Lantix Heritage Month. The events included a self-care session, a mambo dance lesson, and more.
